This is self-drive so you make your own way there. See the Classic Tour with no self-drive if you want the tour with pick up.

What to bring

  • You will need a warm jacket and trousers as it can get very cold up Mount Teide especially as you wont be moving too much whilst doing the stargazing.
  • Your mobile phone to take photos.

What to Expect (Itinerary)

Self-Drive & Sunset

Your adventure starts around an hour before sunset with a scenic self-driven ascent to the meeting point.

Here you'll join the group and witness a spectacular sunset over La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro, complemented by a celebratory glass of Cava.

Stargazing at Teide

After sunset, you'll relocate to a prime spot within Teide National Park for stargazing.

Gaze through a powerful 12" Dobsonian telescope and marvel at the wonders of the night sky.

Lazer-Guided Tour & Celestial Wonders

Your knowledgeable guides will conduct a lazer-guided presentation, pointing out various celestial objects based on the season:

  • The Moon's detailed surface
  • Planets visible in the night sky

Is food provided?

  • No

Are their toilet facilities?

  • Due to the location of the stargazing being away from light pollution, there are no toilet facilities on this tour.

Will I be able to see during the stargazing?

  • It will be near pitch black during the stargazing.
  • Provided you don't look at any light sources e.g. car headlights, your eyes will adjust and you'll be able to see just fine.
  • Please take a torch or use your phone light if you do need to walk anywhere.

Will I be able to take photos on my phone?

  • Yes, absolutely.
  • Also, if you're skillful enough, you can put your phone on the longest exposure setting (usually 30 seconds) take a photo without moving the camera the entire time. It can be done. Here is one that we took outselves on our mobile
